Family Directed Resources (FDR)
The Family Support Service (FSS) program ensures the availability of supports to help people live as they choose; promotes their health, safety and welfare; and, helps and supports the families of these individuals in reaching these goals.
A primary goal for families using this service is to assist in caring for individual family members in their homes. The support provided with FSS funds enhances the quality of life for the entire family unit, and includes: respite care, adaptive equipment, home modifications to accommodate the family member with a disability, special diets and other services/items that are individualized to meet the needs of the family.
In order to access FDR funds, the family must be caring for the person with developmental disabilities at home, and the individual must be eligible for services through the Morrow County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and cannot be receiving funds from another funding source (e.g. waiver, foster placement funds, etc.)
