This November 4th, the citizens of Morrow County will vote for the 0.8 mill, 5-year levy for Whetstone MR/DD.

Continuous levy defeats and loss of state funds has devastated our program and services.  Without the support of the good citizens of Morrow County, Whetstone MR/DD will not be able to sustain, much less restore all the services that have been eliminated and/or reduced over the past six years.  I ask you to examine the facts.  If you do, you will see that what Whetstone MR/DD is asking you to vote for will cost you very little and even less if you are 65 or older and file for the Homestead exemption.

Whetstone MR/DD invites you to visit our facilities on Bank Street (Whetstone River Family & Children’s Center) and Douglas Street (Whetstone Industries). You are all invited to the third annual “Two-Dime” dinner on Thursday, October 30, 2008, from 5:00 – 7:00 at Whetstone Industries.

Each day, the Individuals served by Whetstone MR/DD face challenges that someone without a disability might find insurmountable.  Still, they do it with a smile and a positive attitude.  That inspires us.

The character of a community is best determined by how people in need are treated.  Please show you care enough and please vote YES for MR/DD (Whetstone) on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

 Thank You!
