From 1992 until 2000, local property owners provided taxes based on 7 mills.
Only 1.5 mills remain for local funding.
Comparing taxes paid in the year 2000 to the proposed
1.31 mill levy request for 2007 (that also includes the current 1.5
mill in effect)
| Property value |
2000 (7 mills)
(effective rate of 3.78168) |
2007
(1.5 mills plus proposed 1.31 mills) |
| $50,000 |
$59.56 |
$44.26 |
| $75,000 |
$89.34 |
$66.39 |
| $100,000 |
$119.12 |

| $125,000 |
$148.90 |
$110.64 |
| $150,000 |
